(Liberty's week goes until the 24th!) National Safety Awareness Week is an annual event highlighting resort safety education efforts while increasing slope safety. Resorts are encouraged to develop new and creative ways to involve employees and guests in activities for safety week.
Your Responsibility Code - "Know the Code" Check Out our Wacky Safety Video! Click on the Video Tab... The National Ski Areas Association, along with the National Ski Patrol, the Professional Ski Instructors of America, the American Association of Snowboard Instructors, and Willis and AIG insurance companies, has created the Safety Initiative campaign to assist ski area operators nationwide address the topic of slope safety education for guests. The primary goal is to attempt to further reduce the frequency of accidents, and to unify the industry to focus on and communicate a proactive, strong safety message.
January 16th, 17th, 23rd and 24th: Earn EXTRA LIFT TICKET TIME by "KNOWING THE CODE" - visit the Safety Awareness booth in the Plaza Area  from 9am to 1pm on the 16th and 17th or the "Chill Station" at the top of the mountain from 10am to 2pm both weekends
- Learn more about Smart Style in the terrain parks - ask the Park Crew!
- Chill with Mountain Safety and Ski Patrol at the "Chill Station" on top of the mountain - recite the Responsibility Code and get a free hot chocolate, water or lemonade from 10am to 2pm
- Enter the Ryan Helmet Raffle to win a FREE helmet at the Ski Rental Shop Cashier booth. Proceeds benefit the Ryan Memorial Fund. Learn more about Ryan here...
January 18th-22nd: - Kids - enter the Safety Week coloring contest. Supplies available in the Alpine Room near the fireplace from 9am to 4pm daily.
January 24th: - 5th Annual Ryan Rail Jam - honoring the memory of Ryan Lichtenberg. Registration from 8:30am to 10:30am in The Learning Center Lobby, competition begins at 11am in the terrain parks.
